What is Academic Notice?
Students are placed on academic notice when their CSU Channel Islands (Â鶹´«Ã½) and/or cumulative/overall GPA(s) fall below 2.0. If you are placed on academic notice at the end of the fall or spring semester, after grades have been processed, you will be notified via email.
What Should I Do if I am Placed on Academic Notice?
You will be added to an Academic Notice Canvas Course which will provide additional information about academic standing policies, guide you through reflecting on the good and bad of last semester, and help you identify campus resources and student success strategies so you can plan for a better semester. You will also be invited to meet with an academic advisor to discuss a plan for success.
Make sure you:
- Check your myCI email for information on enrolling in the Academic Notice Canvas Course.
- Download the Student Success Plan worksheet and use it to create a plan for next semester.
- Schedule an appointment to meet with your academic advisor as soon as possible.
- Remember that you are capable of achieving your academic goals, and we are available to support you through this.
