Yvette M. Bocz has been named Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s 2007 Volunteer Alumni Advocate of the Year. She was honored at a ceremony attended by CSU Chancellor Charles B. Reed and several legislators. It was hosted by the CSU Alumni Council and held in Sacramento on CSU Legislative Day in March.
Bocz is a 2002 graduate of California State University, Northridge at Channel Islands, and along with her participation in the Â鶹´«Ã½ Alumni & Friends Association, her work on legislative issues has been critical to this campus’s future earned her the Volunteer Alumni Advocate honor. In 2006, she worked to garner support among the Â鶹´«Ã½ A&FA members for the passage of Proposition 1D, which will bring nearly $62 million to Â鶹´«Ã½ to fund infrastructure upgrade projects.
Every year each campus in the CSU system may designate one member of its alumni association for this award.
